SUCCESSION

The question today at The Washington Times is whether Francis B. Coombs Jr. will succeed Wesley Pruden Jr. as editor-in-chief.

The answer is no, because Fran Coombs and his wife, Marian Kester Coombs are virulent white-supremacist racists, and the owners of The Washington Times do not want a racist as their chief editor. I know from personal conversations that the top managers of The Washington Times Corporation do not want a self-proclaimed virulent white-supremacist racist running the newspaper that will celebrate its 25th anniversary on May 17th, 2007.

The latest evidence of Fran Coombs’ white-supremacy allegiance was the web-site registrations for him and wife Marian Kester Coombs by white-supremacist web-master George R. McDaniel of Raleigh, North Carolina, a friend and ally of Samuel Francis, who Washington Times editor-in-chief Wesley Pruden reluctantly fired as an editorial writer in 1995 because Sam Francis attended a pro-Nazi white-supremacist meeting and wrote propaganda pieces promoting their cause.

I asked Fran and Marian Coombs and George McDaniel why McDaniel was their chosen web-master for their personal web-sites, but they refused to respond.

McDaniel said he did not know Fran and Marian Coombs, yet Network Solutions, a reputable source, lists him as registrant for both their web-sites. McDaniel listed himself as an employee of Go Daddy Software Inc., a very reputable and successful company, with an address on Hayden Road in north Scottsdale, Arizona.

Fran Coombs responded to my inquiries, saying,  “My  website was designed and registered by two colleagues and friends here at The Washington Times. I will not name these individuals … Mr. McDaniel, whomever he might be, has never had anything to do with my website in any way, shape or form.”

Yet George McDaniel of 5212 Shamrock Drive in Raleigh, North Carolina is listed as the registrant on August 19, 2005, of the web-site of MarianKesterCoombs.com, and of the web-site for FrancisCoombs.com (IP 64.202.163.149).

So Fran Coombs, managing editor of The Washington Times, lied to me. George McDaniel registered his personal web-site and he would not explain why in a 90-minute telephone interview.

George McDaniel is a virulent racist long associated with white-supremacist neo-Nazi American Renaissance magazine. He recently edited the book of American Renaissance author Jared Taylor titled “A Race Against Time: Racial Heresies for the 21st Century,” published by New Century Foundation.

Samuel Francis praised the book in a column, saying, “This collection offers the best informed, most serious and most honest discussion of race this country has seen in decades.”

McDaniel also authored with Jared Taylor, “Hearth and Home: Preserving a People’s Culture (American Civilization),” published in January 1982 by Temple University Press, and with Louis Andrews in 2004, “North Carolina’s Demographic Transformation: The Impact of Race and Immigration.”

Well – we know the white-supremacist nature of the Coombses and Samuel Francis from their published writings:

Marian Coombs wrote in The Washington Times on January 13, 2002:

“In the A section of any serious newspaper, the plot of virtually every story is the struggle of People vs. People -- not classes, as Marx thought, but races (or cultures, to put it politely). The Emigrants, then and now, January 13, 2002…

“Today, however, population flight allows dysfunctional and kleptocratic regimes to remain in power decade after decade, as all who have the wit or will to oppose them get the hell out -- Cuba, Haiti, Mexico, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Algeria, the Philippines, Vietnam, China. After their enemies, these regimes export their hardcore poor for the West to take care of.

“For this is now apparently our function: We are the adults of the world, caring for masses of hapless child-like asylum-seekers, economic and political and social refugees, immigrants legal and illegal, as well as entire hapless child-like nations that have not yet physically landed on our shores with hands outstretched.

“The West -- specifically, the European, Canadian, Australian and American men whose inventions like the piano, representative democracy, pasteurization, vaccination, antiseptics, antibiotics, electrification, engines, generators, suspension bridges, The Lord of the Rings, the antislavery movement, the doctrine of Free Will, computers, opera, the theory of evolution, stainless steel, asphalt roads, telephones, photography, refrigeration, indoor plumbing, the movies, insecticide and the skyscraper have made the world infinitely better for its billions of inhabitants -- constitutes a sort of Head Start program for the entire planet. As with the version tried with "underprivileged" kids in the U.S., performance improves during the intensive initial effort, but once the program's over, the improvements fade away.

“People in the West used to understand how unprecedented and unique their achievements were. To pick up on a new idea is one thing; to conceive a new idea is another thing entirely. Anyone can be taught how to drive a car, but only a few dozen Western men had what it took to design, build and perfect the automobile. This is a difference not of degree, but of kind.

“One genius is ‘worth’ a million ordinary folk when it comes to his power to do life-changing good for others. Objectively speaking, one Albert Schweitzer was worth all his patients put together -- but of course that is not at all how men like Dr. Schweitzer are wont to view their fellow human beings.

“Hoping that demography is destiny, the races of the human race are now engaged in a different kind of race: reproduction. Hispanics boast of reconquering California and the Southwest through numbers alone. Mexico in particular acts as though it has unlimited human dumping rights on U.S. territory, and squeals like a stuck cabrito whenever we try to chuck somebody back. (America's border with Canada, on the other hand, is one of the longest in the world and the least needful of defense. An orderly, small-scale, inter pares population exchange is constantly ongoing, featuring easily bored, "ready for prime time" types like Jim Carrey departing Canada for the U.S., and a lesser number of Americans who prefer a kinder, gentler, duller society deserting the U.S. for Canada.)

“The Palestinians speak openly of ‘Arabizing’ Israel with their "population bomb" (The Washington Times, 12/12/01). ‘Greater Albania’ is on the move throughout the Balkans, parlaying the ‘greatness’ of numbers into domination of Serbia, Kosovo and Macedonia. The same race is on in Kashmir and a hundred other places. Only the West is failing to weaponize population growth.

“The ancient Romans imploded demographically, and Rome fell long ago. Yet the Eternal City still stands, and much of Roman civilization lives on in our minds and hearts. So it is possible to believe that we too, like Tolkien's Aragorn, ‘will not let the White City fall.’"

Marian Coombs also wrote in Chronicles in August 2003, a magazine associated with the Rockford Institute:

“Time was when the Christian God rode high, leading His soldiers into battle and on to victory. The stunning success of the Christian West in engulfing all the continents of the earth seemed proof positive that its God must be not only paramount but beaming genially upon the labors of His children.

“Certainly this was the lesson learned by those engulfed, from Hawaii, where ‘the greatness of your Christian god’ was ritually acknowledged, to North America, where the European invaders' fearsome weapons, immeasurable riches and miraculous resistance to diseases that wiped out the natives were all interpreted as signs of their god's superiority. In the great story of Europe's Encounter with indigenous peoples the world over, there were a thousand tragic moments when old gods faltered and fell silent, leaving their worshippers defenseless. To most peoples defeat meant either that their own gods had deserted them, or that the enemy's god was a more powerful Being to whom they must now bow down.”

This is stunning, and I know from years of relationship with Fran and Marian Coombs that she wears the pants in the family.

They are white-supremacist racists. Will they take over The Washington Times? I don’t believe so. The newspaper’s founders and owners, who believe in manners, gratitude, liberty, and economic opportunity for all, will not allow such prejudiced tyrants to hijack an important American newspaper. A new crew is coming in.
