THE NEW YORK TIMES ASSAULT AGAINST JOHN McCAIN
Well, in the vernacular, the story was supposed to be uppa the arse with no vaseline.
But it backfired. The story turned out to be uppa the arse of The New York Times with no vaseline.
This was a horrible, wrong, untruthful story, bad reporting, no good sourcing. The New York Times is dead after this story. Credibility gone. The Grey Lady is dead.
This was an uppa-your-arse story with no uppa-your-arse.
John McCain handled it beautifully. He denied the story, walked away from it with stature becoming of a future president, and everyone else in the media analyzed the story and agreed it was wrong.
It was a smear job, pure and simple. There were no facts. Editors put the false story above the fold. The lead of the story was not backed up. There was no sourcing. The story’s page placement was absurd.
The New York Times is dead. As a newspaper one can trust, it is dead. The newspaper buried itself with this horrible wrong untrue story. Bye, bye, American pie. The New York Times is in its grave. The grey lady is finally dead, no credibility, killed by its own editors and reporters stupidity.
